Fun Fact, the original Pain Olympics it was inspired by was less gruesome.
It was originally inspired by a series of games held at a Barbeque in Toronto, Ontario, on July 1, 2001. The contestants did a lot of "how much pain can you take" challenges, though less harsh, such as forehead pulling to see how long you could last, how many hot sauce bottles can you drink, and how much weight on a suspension could you carry. That's what the Real Pain Olympics was.
Some person named Shannon Larratt then thought she could make it into a perverted and gory video then, for some reason.
Another thing. The creator of that video, Shannon Larratt, said they really didn't do those things to themselves. They used movie-grade prosthetic makeup and props to make it appear realistic. So as gruesome and messed up as that video was, no one was really hurt in the making of it.
